Announcements made day of show take precedence over any advertisement.
*Proper show ring etiquette is EXPECTED! Poor behavior will be excused from class.
*Unless specified all classes are any tack.
*Favorite gait is to be other than walk or lope.
*SAFETY FIRST!
* All classes reward points toward high point awards, points are as follows:
1st Place = 10 pts, 2nd Place = 6 pts, 3rd Place = 5 points, 4th Place = 4 pts, 5th Place =3
pts, 6th Place = 2 pts, and each entry without placing will be awarded 1 pt.
Participation class entries will also receive 1 pt.
ENTRY FORM
Class 1:
Lead Line – Rider age 6 & under – Assisted by leader – Walk only
6 place ribbons – participation ribbons for all others
Class 2:
Beginner One – Rider age 10 & under – Assisted by leader – Walk & Favorite Gait –
Beginner One entrants cannot show in Beginner Two and may not show in any canter
class.
6 place ribbons – Eligible for Beginner High Point award
Class 3:
Showmanship – Shown in hand – judging 50% on Rider 50% on Horse
6 place ribbons
Class 4:
Beginner Two – Any Age – No Assistance – Walk & Favorite Gait – Beginner Two
entrants cannot show in Beginner One or any canter class.
6 place ribbons – pts eligible for beginner high point award
Class 5:
Western Pleasure – Any Age – Western Tack – Walk, Favorite Gait & Lope/Canter
6 Place ribbons – points eligible for rail class high point award
Class 6:
Gaited Pleasure – Any Age – Walk & Favorite Gait (gait must not be trot)
6 place ribbons – points eligible for rail class high point award
Class 7:
Equitation – Any Age – Walk, Favorite Gait, Canter – Judging Emphasized on Rider
6 place ribbons – points eligible for rail class high point award
Class 8:
English Pleasure – Any Age – English Tack – Walk, Favorite Gait & Canter
6 place ribbons – points eligible for rail class high point award
Class 9:
Ranch Pleasure – Any Age – Walk, Favorite Gait, Canter – May be asked to extend
gaits
6 place ribbons – Points eligible for rail class high point award
Class 10:
Stick Horse – Racing One Circuit – Jr. ages 12 & under – Sr. ages 13 & up
Participation ribbons awarded to all
Class 11:
Trail – Timed over obstacles, requiring demonstration of all gaits, pattern with
requirements and time penalties are/will be posted – all ages
6 place ribbons
Class 12:
No Horse Trail – all ages – timed on foot (your own two) – will follow same
pattern as trail with no “gait” requirements
6 place ribbons – participation ribbons for all others
Class 13:
Bareback Ride a Buck – Bring your own Buck – Ridden at all three gaits until only
one is left – Buck is held at knee/lower thigh, not sat upon
Winner take all in an 80% payback of entry fees + all the bucks

Class 14:
Youth Flags – ages 17 and under – run your choice of direction – no time for
dropped flag – points eligible for high point speed event award

Class 15:
Open Flags – all ages – run your choice of direction – no time for dropped flag
6 place ribbons – points eligible for high point speed event award
Class 16:
Rescue Race – all ages – teams of one horse, two riders, rider two stands atop
the barrel and is “rescued” from the barrel by rider one and the horse, both riders must
still be mounted across the finish line
6 place ribbons – points eligible for high point speed event award
Class 17:
Youth Poles – ages 17 & under – 5 second penalty for knocked pole
6 place ribbons – points eligible for high point speed event award
Class 18:
Open Poles – all ages – 5 second penalty for knocked poles
6 place ribbons – points eligible for high point speed event award
Class 19:
Beginner Barrels – any age – May be assisted – Walk or trot, no canter – lope
home not penalized but loping around pattern unacceptable
6 place ribbons – points eligible for beginner high point awards
Class 20:
Youth Barrels – ages 17 & under – knocked barrel 5 second penalty
6 place ribbons – points eligible for speed event high point awards
Class 21:
Open Barrels – all ages – knocked barrel 5 second penalty
6 place ribbons – points eligible for speed event high point awards
Class 22:
Barrel Speed Race – all ages – down and around one barrel
6 place ribbons – points eligible for speed event high point award
